Barkley Fund

The Barkley Fund is dedicated to helping pets that haven’t yet found their “fur-ever home.” The Veterinary Specialty Center of Sarasota team is passionate about helping the injured homeless and abandoned pets in our community. These organizations perform the difficult job of taking injured dogs and cats off the streets and out of shelters and getting them the care that they need. VSC donates thousands of dollars in services to not-for-profit organizations, but they need more help.VSC created the Barkley Fund to give our patient’s families the ability to donate and help organizations in our local community that rescue and provide care to animals.

Veterinary Specialty Center of Sarasota partnered with the Veterinary Care Foundation to provide pet owners an ability to donate to Rescue organizations in the Sarasota/Manatee and surrounding communities. Donations to the fund are tax deductible (the fund is a 501c3 organization) and 100% of the funds are spent on treatments, medications, and surgery for the pets.
